Nice one - what sort of tunes did you play, Ringo?
What sort of crowd do you get to the pub on Commercial Rd???

Hi Ben, I played some classics, didn't see much point running a load of obscure heavy roots when the shed was bedecked with gnomes and kiddy games so that the nippers could play coits/table football etc. We had a bubble machine attached to the speaker stack - got lots of folks dancing away to 80's dancehall favourites whilst their nippers chased the bubbles. A lovely day out. It was an experience to play right under City Hall in the shadow of Tower Bridge. Couldn't resist chucking a bit of Smiley Culture in, but I don't suppose Boris was watching. The Castle is a real mixture and quite hard to predict, especially as the music varies from reggae to bass led breaks to disco and then jungle. Early doors there are people on their way home from work having a few pints, some passing trade, usually a crew of people we know from www.purple-radio.co.uk/ & The Big Chill. Later on when Andrea comes on it often fills up with people from the jungle scene.

Ta, sounds all good, was thinking about attending the South Bank events anyway, but missed your note...
Hopefully pop in to the Castle one of these days - monthly, right?
