What are your thought on the Wobble/Marconi one? I've only played it once so far, but I was a bit underwhelmed. More plays needed, and probably louder At a recent record fair I got my head out of the £1 bins and paid proper(ish) money for Quintessence's self-titled album - the one with the cover that opens down the centre

True, Wobbleskis bass is not so prominent, I'm rather adhered to it, not saying its Wobble at his thunderous 30Hertz, lovely move though.
Quintessence Classic, be it on the gate fold sleeve on Island [pink rim], presume it is? - fantastic live when I saw them all those eons ago, how feckless could I be all those years ago lending stuff out never getting them back, if I did they were better used as beer mats, pah.

For a 43 year old record it's pretty good. A few superficial marks, nothing of note, plays cleanly with the occasional bit of rustle. I can live with that I have Prince's Diamonds And Pearls on a 3" holographic CD single. Probably the only one I've got (3" CD and Prince tune)

25% of the Y[ear] in/ gone, contender for muzik of the y[ear] be .... Steve Mason - Monkey Minds In The Devil's Time - CD track 18 - "get up and fight them back, fist, a move and a baseball bat" ..... Peace Gp Can't believe you posted this in the first quarter and I thought then "hmmm, must get around to listening to it soon...", well, I've been playing it and enjoying it this last few weeks. Have to say the quite disturbing Giotto artwork put me off a bit, so when I first played it I found myself studying the 24" x 36" poster version that came with the vinyl, rather than listening to the music. Overall I find the album a little 'bitty' though, what with all those interludes and short tracks. I found it broke up the flow too much Did you hear Dennis Bovell's dub reconstruction of his previous "Boys Outside" album?
