I was so impressed, I ordered the Nicole Willis album (released last year) on the spot - I haven't received it yet, so have made do with a Limewire download of "If This Ain't Love"...

This has just been repressed on 7" - the original selling on eBay for a bit (already!!)

The Light Pours Out of Me - Magazine
Listening to this one daily in the hopes of triggering a cosmic wave that will open up the skies and let the sunshine in.
But its February and its Canada.

'You're The Reason' by Bobby Edwards.
It's the original and it kills Arthur Alexander's version in the same way that Arthur Alexander kills the Stones' cover of 'You Better Move On'.

I love Arthur Alexander but admittedly some of his stuff is rather lightweight, suffering from the fate of adding schmaltzy backing singers to "appeal to whitey". The same thing suffered by most popular black singers of the day such as Jackie Wilson, Clyde McPhatter and Sam Cooke.

ok, I'll give you this year gordy, but youre going out in a fortnight anyway. but in the last decade who has the best record in Europe by a country mile? And Im only talking Champions league, not even going to mention the fact we were in the UEFA cup final 2 years ago. And if you want to talk parochial stuff, I saw a fact the other day that stated out of the last 22 Old Firm games the stats were Celtic (won 14), Rangers (won4) with 4 draws. Im sure you will recall the "green and whitewash" season in 2004 when Celtic won all 6 games against Rangers (4 league, 1 league cup, 1 scottish cup). and more recently after 4 games this season its Celtic (3 wins), Rangers (1 win). Oh and how many points are we ahead this season? Give you a clue - key to the door
over to you mate

Over here Rangers and Celtic tops are like a uniform for some. I always feel that many of the people wearing them are more interested in displaying religious and political affiliations than the actual game. We have had/ still have both Rangers and Celtic shops in Belfast as well as Man U and Liverpool. I guess there isn't the same interest in Linfield / Glentoran / Cliftonville wear. Tune of the day - well Rosko mentioned Prince Alla. Only Love Can Conquer is a beautiful record. That disc has been in my car CD player for about a month.

I must be one of those whiteys, Gordon. Jackie Wilson, Clyde McPhatter and Sam Cooke are probably my favourite three singers.
