dancecrasher.podomatic.com/In the late 60's Clancy Collins AKA Sir Collins Downbeat started releasing Rocksteady tunes on his Collins Downbeat label. From the start he had a relationship with Bunny Lee who provided mastertapes that were either released as they were or overdubbed in the UK with DJs and instrumental solos. You can hear this on three rhythms on this mix. Music Field, Grab A Girl and You Don't Care (I'm Shocking...). Delroy Wilson's Live As One (on a Joe Gibbs original) and the Marlene Webber tune both date from around 1971 shorlty before the next chapter of Sir Collins musical career with the establishment of his Sir Collins Music Wheel label. Roy Shirley - Music Field (Bunny Lee production - UK Doctor Bird) Lester Strirling - Soul Voyage (Bunny Lee production - Blank) Lester Stirling And Sir Collins - Sir Collins Special (Sir Collins production - UK Collins Downbeat) Owen Gray - Rock It Down (Sir Collins production - UK Collins Downbeat) Sir Collins, Don Simmons And Lester Stirling - Three Wise Men (Sir Collins production - UK Collins Downbeat) *** Enos And Sheila - La La Bam Ba (Joe Gibbs production? - UK Blue Cat) Gaytones - Heart Of The Knight (Joe Gibbs production? - UK High Note) Delroy Wilson - Live As One (Sir Collins production - UK blank LP) *** Glen Adams - Grab A Girl (Bunny Lee production - Blank) Sir Collins And Bob Stackie - Sock It softly (Sir Collins production - UK Collins Downbeat) Owen gray - I'm So Lonely (Sir Collins production - UK Collins Downbeat) *** Glen Adams - I'm Shocking I'm Electric (Bunny Lee production - Blank) Don Tony Lee And Bobby aitken - Cool Cool Rocksteady (Bunny Lee production? - UK Collins Downbeat) Rico And J.Satchmo - Shock Steady (Sir Collins production - UK Collins Downbeat) Lester Stirling - Lester Stirling '67 (Bunny Lee production? - UK Collins Downbeat) *** Uniques - I'm A Fool For You (Bunny Lee production - UK Collins Downbeat) *** Marlene Webber - Hard Life (Sir Collins production - UK Smash) Collins All Stars - Version Life (Sir Collins production - UK Smash)

Just uploaded a new 2006-one. Wonder how long it'll remain downloadable though, because to my surprise I've already used up 11 GB of my monthly bandwidth of 15 GB without having posted anything new on there this month so far and the 'new' month is still two weeks away from now. Nice ofcourse that it apparantely draws an audience, but annoying to see the downloads go unavailable before the new month. Guess going PRO is the best thing to do, but I find it quite expensive, so don't know if I should or to just delete previous podcasts to save bandwidth for the latest ones. All in all, these are ofcourse luxury problems, due to a good number of listeners and I'm ofcourse very excited to see that. Anyway, just uploaded a new one, take a listen while you can at bmc.podomatic.com . ;D Chant Dem Down - BMC's 2006 mix - part 2Another 2006-mix with 32 minutes of Jamaican reggae tunes. In brackets you can find the label and riddim-name respectively. All tunes are recorded from my own 45s and most of them still available, so if you like what you hear, go get 'm! winking 1a. Richie Spice - Play On (Taxi - Keep That Light) 1b. Abijah - Heavy Load (Taxi - Keep That Light) 2a. Chezidek - Where Did The Good Vibes Go (Digital B - Johnny Too Bad) 2b.
