From my mental database I'd have to say Cornell Campbell followed very closely by Delroy Wilson.

Believe me or not, but it has to be Leroy Smart. Of course I like Leroy but I'm not particularly a fan. What explains the amount is that over the years when I have sold my stuff no one has taken any Leroy, so I have all that I have originally purchased left. I have quite a few Cornell Campbell & Frankie Paul 7"s as well.

Of other music and albumwise Monty Alexander tops, well over 30 albums from him. He's born in JA though.
Quite a lot from Jerry Butler, Curtis Mayfield, Bobby Womack, Joe Simon, The dells, The Temptations, John Coltrane & Thelonious Monk, too. And 13 Beatles albums :-)

It's probably Prince Buster, though I also have over 100 7" sides by Derrick Morgan and Laurel Aitken, and exactly 101 by Delroy Wilson. I also have many Wailers and Maytals tunes, probably at least 100 apiece. I have nearly 100 by Alton Eliis, and from 50-75 sides by artists like Horace Andy, Errol Dunkley, Dennis Brown, Gaylads, Heptones, Keith Poppin, Gregory Isaacs, Johnny Clarke etc etc...

May I ask what program you use for your database Marc? As I'm currently considering starting one of my own - to keep track of my ever growing singles collection before things get too out of hand!

Back to the original topic, for me it would easily be Warrior King at 32 pieces of 7" vinyl...as I haven't gotten too into the oldies on wax yet and I have tried to pick up everything I've seen by him since he first broke out.

It's nothing fancy. Just an excel sheet with columns for artist, title, label, producer, riddim, year, matrix and some comments if needed. Excel has the build-in possibilty to filter through a column, so quite easily I can view all singles by a certain artist or label or riddim. It's not so fancy that you can select a word and get all entries with that word in it, only for complete entries (meaning for instance an entry with Buju Banton & Sizzla in the artist line doesn't show when selecting Buju Banton).

Cool - that is just what I was thinking of using as well. Nice to know it is possible to view by artist or label or rhythm or whatever...I had wondered about that and thought it would be useful if the Excel program worked this way.

I'm curious as to how you list by riddim in cases where an old rhythm has been renamed. Like for example these new Massive B singles, would you file them under Jah Love in the riddim field or after the original, Warn the Nation?
