Woke up with this one in my head: The Gorgon Speaks (extended) by Cornell Campbell.
Must have been the soundtrack to one of my dreams, because as soon as I opened my eyes - there it was.

The whole of Beres Hammond "Soul Reggae" album.
One of the unsolved mysteries in the reggaeworld:
Why didnt he became a superstar already back 1976?
(and thirty years later he still isnt)

One of the unsolved mysteries in the reggaeworld:

(and thirty years later he still isnt) Because he's got a horrible, whining voice, Lars, that grates on the ears...IMHO, of course ...and a big welcome to you in here...

Yes Welcome Lars. You can be controversial, all I ask is that stuff doesn't get personal And yes, why isn't Beres a superstar? Wicked singer, just as good as some of the American soul singers of his time. Respect Gordy

Thanks Gordon. You seem to have a nice place going here (you cant live on DHR alone and B&F... Well, we all know the story and seeing this, I definitively wont bother with that site anymore) Big up to all the outcasts and the rest!

Speaking of Isaac Hayes - he will no longer be voicing "Chef" on "South Park". Seems the Black Moses wasn't happy about the show's portrayal of Scientology.

Speaking of Isaac Hayes - did you ever see "Wattstax"? Not a well made film, but great as a period piece. Features some very mediocre Richard Pryor jokes mixed in with a massive concert at the Coliseum in L.A. with the Staples Singers, Carla Thomas, Albert King, Rufus Thomas among others.
The headliner was Isaac Hayes, and his entrance to the stage is really cool - he was the "Black Moses"!!

I really liked Wattstax, both in the way it was put stiched together and of course the footage is great.
Especially like the scene where Rufus Thomas invites everybody on to the pitch to dance, then asks them to go back to their seats when he's finished, all without any fuss or fight!
Entrance wise, Isaac does take the cake though.

Spent last Sunday listening to Trojan's Upsetter Singles I-IV on shuffle. Good stuff that I really should listen to more often...
