Fuck off Eavi$, with your BBC $pon$ored pi$h, fue££ed by £icence payer$ money!
Have you seen that abomination of a bill in general, and in particular the tripe that the BBC are showing today?
Rita Ora, Professor Green, Dizzee Rascal and the omnipresent Seasick Steve(who must have something on the producers at the Beeb), are all having their drivel beamed to the masses tonight.
I normally have a lot of time for the BBC, their output while far from perfect is generally ok, especially on BBC2 and 4. Their music coverage is pretty top notch, even the documentaries on artists I have no time for are usually very insightful and well made. But their Glastonbury coverage has been terrible for years, not in terms of the vast exposure they give to it but the dross they choose to televise year on year. The majority of it is mainstream pap which has plenty of exposure elsewhere, although they normally show at least one "legacy" act like Toots just to ease the producers conscience.
The bill as I said is shocking. In what universe are Mumford and Sons headliners at the main stage at Glastonbury? In Eavis's world this bunch of raggle taggle fly by nights are at the same level as the other headliners the Rolling Stones. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't open the curtains to watch The Stones playing in my back garden these days, but they are still the biggest rock n roll band on the planet, and still deliver a great show apparently if you are into that sort of thing.
Read it and weep

The irony of the John Peel stage is that he wouldn't play any of that tripe that is due to play on it, they'd have been as well calling it the Tony Blackburn stage.
