Hello all
I'm wondering if there's a compilation of Bamboo singles available anywhere, ideally from around 1969-1970? Some time ago the following compilation was passed on by a board member, and I'm really enjoying it, but I'd love to have these [or similar] in better quality - anyone know any sources?
cheers Rob
1. Ken Parker - My Whole World Is Falling Down 2. Ken Parker – Choking Kind 3. Alton Ellis - Set A Better Example 4. Duke Morgan - Lick It Back 5. Black & George - Peanut Butter 6. Jackie Mittoo – Our Thing 7. The Gladiators – Fling It Gimme 8. Lord Comic – Rhythm Rebellion (1972) 9. The Heptones - I Shall Be Released 10. Marcia Griffiths – Working 11. Girlie And Laurel Aitken – Cut Up Munno 12. Ethiopians – Walkie Talkie 13. The Soulites – Botheration 14. Brentford Road All Stars – Early Duckling 15. Brentford All Stars – You Gonna Hold Me Version 16. Ethiopians - You'll Want To Come Back 17. Heptones - Message From A Black Man 18. Sound Dimension – Jamaica Underground

There is a compilation on Attack Records called Big Bamboo featuring the kind of stuff you may be after but I dont think it's still available -it is all killer and really deserves reissue!

There was another compilation that came out on Bamboo in mono in 1969 called "A Scorcha From Bamboo". Superb UK pressing, but sadly my copy was printed on cardboard of a type fairly appealing to a Great dane

O well, thanks for the info - who owns the rights to this stuff, out of curiosity? - seems too good to leave unissued.
