i borrowed big joe turner's greatest hits of my neighbour dennis last week and listened to 'flip flop and fly' and shake rattle and roll' for the first time in 25 years and was struck by how good he was all over again. his genius was to sit behind the beat so far he is almost in the next bar - very relaxed and easy style, wicked lyrics and of course highly original rhythm tracks. more uno tube footage would help. T.
