www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=128451840564171 After a sweet session for Alilou's birthday, we rock the Crescent yet again with a special delivery of bass weight courtesy of guest sound system BUSHROCKER HIFI... Hailing from Colne, Lancashire, these Roots an' Culture specialists host the Reggae tent every year at the hugely popular BEATHERDER FESTIVAL (2nd Best Dance Event 2010 after Creamfields) with their custom-built heavyweight sound system which they will be bringing to York for the first time. Selectors COJO and MR.P. are joined by RAS & RAS on the mic, and will be bringing you the sweetest and heaviest in Roots Rock Reggae and Dub from 10pm. Warming up the vibes will be the BANGARANG residents SELECTER B and HALF-SOLDIER (also of Cranky Radio and Irie Vibes fame), wielding their boxes of vintage Jamaican Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae and Roots. SELECTOR SCRATCH tops off the night with Nu Roots, Dancehall and Dub picks. Live percussion in full effect thanks to our brand new resident LAURIE CAULDWELL, his debut went down a storm last month and we can't wait to hear him again! Caribbean food will be served as usual, this time in aid of charity. it goes quickly so make sure you come early and make the most of the irie vibes! Only £4 before 10pm or in advance, £5 otherwise. Tickets are available from Attic Records (with a booking fee) or the venue.
