Hey fellas, what software do you use to create these most excellent podcasts? ..... seems my old friends are bugging me to do a few.... as if the tapes I'm made for them in the 1980's weren't good enough.... ...anyway, suggestions most welcome. Thanks,

I use Sony's Vegas software, occasionally the free Audacity too for some of the build-in effects (especially the echo) of theirs.

Depends if you just want to record a live set or edit everything on the computer.
For the 1st one you just need a basic 2 track (stereo) audio progam like Wavelab, Sound Forge, Cool Edit etc.
For the 2nd choice you'll need a multi track utility like Cubase, Vegas etc.

I use a shitty old copy of Soundofrge and then convert to MP3 using Swith an australian bit of free audio conversion software... Everything else I do is outboard, mixing desk, crappy old mic I really must replace etc... Don't think you have to go get some podcasters 'package' in order to do it... record it to C90 and then into your pc and covert to Mp3, upload, simple as...
