Great review on reggae-vibes.com http://www.reggae-vibes.com/rev_712/weedout.htm
In 2012 the Israeli band Zvuloon Dub System put out their surprisingly good and mature sounding debut album "Freedom Time". This collection of tunes featured quite a few highlights including "Going To Zionand a collaboration with Ranking Joe entitled "Nah Give Up"Two wicked tunes underpinned by the same riddim, reminiscent of the kinda riddims that were produced in the studios of Kingston during the heydays of roots reggae in the 1970s.
Now these two album tracks re-appear on a 12" vinyl single along with a brand new Cornell Campbell song, Weed Out, and its dub version. The expressive falsetto of veteran singer Cornell Campbell, a major singing star in the mid-1970s, is complemented by a riddim that incorporates an awesome bassline and stirring horns. Cornell Campbell, who is in real good shape, delivers a reality tune that deals with today's economical crisis. Real big tune. It's followed by its dub version, which is on par with the vocal track. Hopefully you haven't get rid of your turntable, because this release simply deserves to be part of any roots collection.
